Southport Heating & Plumbing is Exceptional

Jan, 6, 2014 registered as -14 degrees below zero with 20 yr record breaking wind-chills near -40 below. Our pipes stopped working and we feared they'd burst and cost $1000's and $1000's to repair. We read the online Reviews/Testimonials from other Southport Customers and called. Plumber Tom K was here within 2 hours, as cheerful and pleasant and professional as on a Spring day, assessed the situation, moved heaven and earth to get the unusual part we needed and had us up and running again in no time. He was patient, courteous, careful to explain all the options, kind and reassuring about home-owner cost anxieties and about the nicest man imaginable. We saved so much time and money, and he helped us understand the benefits of their additional plan offered to valued customers that provides the back-up needed for emergencies like today, plus yearly maintenance checks to save money in the long run, really for pennies a day. What an amazing deal. What an amazing company. What extraordinary personnel. I will sing Southport's praises at the drop of a hat, at work, church, in the grocery store, gas station, anywhere!!! We ended up with an excellent and highly rated system that should hopefully work well for the next 15 - 20 years...and are significantly more efficient and less costly to operate than the old units. And as for the team who did the work...we were very pleased with the quality of their work and how they took the time to clean up after the job was done.

"On June 7 during record heat, I requested an immediate evaluation of my cooling system.  Your helpful accommodating office staff member Carolyn Lee was very helpful, efficient and courteous.  She relayed my problem to technical and sales personnel and arranged for an evaluation at 0600 AM June 8.
 
Evaluating technicians, Scoot Schmaling and Eric Meeusen arrived before 0600 AM and diagnosed the problem in record time.  After giving me some excellent technical advice they checked on part availability and started the ball rolling; they couldn't have been more professional, efficient and helpful.  Scott coordinated with Carolyn and setup a sales visit from Josh Giersch.  Josh provided pricing information, equipment availability and purchase options.  I was presented with options of repairing my old system or purchase of a new one.  I chose a new system and asked Josh to try to get the system installed as soon as possible.  Expecting a next day start on the job, I non the less requested that Josh attempt to arrange for a same day installation.  My request was coordinated by Josh through Carolyn and Buddy.
 
Buddy Rundle arrived at around 1100 AM, after he had previously completed two jobs for the day.  I followed Buddy around for over seven hours of hard work.  He was amazing removing my old cooling system and installing the new unit working alone on a very hot day.  I have a technical background and rank Buddy at the top for professional skill, motivation, work ethic and positive attitude toward the customer.  I had lots of questions for this outstanding professional, while he was non-stop for hours he answered my questions.  Upon reflection I can't stress enough how valuable Buddy is to the success of your fine company, he is a stellar performer.
 
Your employees reflect a quality organization.  They are a credit to themselves, for their professionalism, work ethic, desire and motivation.  All your fine employees showed a "can do" attitude that impressed me greatly.  A hardy well done to all!  This is a fine team of professionals that I highly recommend to all for heating and air cooling work."

"My wife and I are very satisfied with the purchase of our new Carrier Infinity Series HVAC system, including a heat pump, from Southport Heating in Kenosha, WI for the following reasons:

 

Pre-sale:

1. Very professional and knowledgeable presentation on the benefits of the Carrier product program.

      * This presentation included payback information on the system, particularly with reference to the heat pump.

2. Immediate response with a quotation which was hand delivered and discussed by the Southport representative.

3. Southports quotation was not the least expensive of three received.

However, the confidence level perceived of Southports' abilities, plus the extra time spent to justify the cost / payback for the system won them our order.

 

Installation of the system:

1. Installation crew arrived exactly as scheduled.

2. Two day install as offered was met. (February install in not so good

weather)

3. Absolute attention to detail....we were very impressed with small details addressed during installation...no shortcuts taken.

 

Performance of the system...two years running:

1. Zero downtime since installation, February 2009 through April 2011.

2. Only maintenance performed by us is to change filters every 6 momths and clean humidifer cartridge annually.

3. Payback of system very close to figures offered  in pre-sale discussions.

4. Very quiet operation and no temperature overshoots. (Carrier Infinity series with Infinity Control thermostat)

"I work with a lot of outside contractors as part of my job managing small construction projects on campus.  Southport Heating installed (3) new ductless split air conditioners in the beginning of August 2010 in the weight room on campus.
